Eastleigh Borough residents are being encouraged not to throw their Halloween pumpkin in their black bin but to compost or recycle it instead.
Remember any pumpkins left from Halloween can be recycled with your food waste. Simply leave your pumpkin in, or next to, your brown food waste caddy and it will be collected.
Cabinet Member for Environment and Sustainability Cllr Rupert Kyrle said: "It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying Halloween across the borough. If you’re not going to cook your pumpkin then there is just no excuse for not composting or recycling it."
