11th November 12.30-4.30pm
St Andrew’s Church, Hamble.
This year is the centenary of the end of World War 1 and to mark this very significant anniversary, St. Andrew’s Church, in conjunction with the Hamble-le-Rice Flower Club, is holding a flower festival entitled ‘Lest We Forget’.
The festival is to be held over three days and will offer visitors the opportunity to see stunning and creative floral displays and for a time to reflect and remember those people involved in all conflicts.
Displays will describe, in flowers, the sights of war and peace. Ten of the displays will relate to those from the village of Hamble who were lost in the Great War.
The festival is open from 10am to 5pm on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th November and from 12.30 on Sunday 11th November entrance is £5.00 and children under 16 are free. Refreshments will be available throughout the festival.
